Maxem Engineering Limited - a brief history

Maxem Engineering Ltd. was incorporated in July 2001 and is essentially a product of the downturn in the electronics industry.  Maxem is 100% Irish owned and has offices and warehousing in Naas.

It sometimes requires a dramatic shift in the economic environment to change the status quo and bring a new dimension to a well established industry.  Maxem having started with a blank sheet in 2001 was fortunate to have had no requirement to conform to the norm within the industry at that time.

Maxem started trading in single unit, second user equipment and through a series of steps and transactions developed from single machines to complete line installations in an ever expanding marketplace.

Maxem quickly established a strong presence in the Global second user marketplace through hard work and a commitment to delivering quality machines at competitive prices.  This was only half of the equation and needed to be backed up with the ability to install, train and stand over the products after the sale.

As the International business grew, Maxem invested back into the domestic market by hiring two highly trained and experienced engineers to support the local customers.  Some may have questioned the logic of this given that the domestic market was still in freefall with many companies closing their doors and relocating their production to cheaper labour markets. 

Maxem believed that by operating in the Global market we could support and help customers to develop locally, customers could benefit from Maxems ability to acquire systems and supply cost effective technical solutions to the Irish market.

Throughout the past eighteen months Maxem has established itself in Ireland by adding value to our customers and helping them to grow cost effectively and give them a competitive edge in the current electronics manufacturing climate.

This ability that Maxem has to offer is recognized not only by the Irish and international customers but also by several Capital equipment manufacturers.  They have seen that this presence and the ability to deliver affordable solutions, give Maxem an edge that was previously unavailable. 

Maxem is therefore unique in the industry by being able to offer new and used equipment that is fully endorsed by the OEM.  Maxem can deliver cutting edge printing solutions, to automation and inspection for PCBA to wire bonding.  Maxem has a small but comprehensive, technically advanced new equipment product portfolio to meet the most demanding customer needs.
